One Week Cooking Vacation

This is our best selling class. We peel, we bash, we chop, and we cook together. At the end, we sit down and enjoy the meal with a good bottle of wine.

Class length is about three hours in the morning. Make sure to reserve the class early. The classes are small enough to accommodate cooks of all levels and are ideal for small groups of family and friends.

A half-day excursion is set up with visit to the traditional and well-known fish market in Chioggia.

Other optional tours are available in the afternoon every day of your stay, and staying one more night you will have the possibility to explore the Euganean Hills region, tasting its many noble wines.

It is also possible to bring along a non-participating partner who can spend the day enjoying the surroundings, sightseeing or swimming in our biological swimmine pool (from May to September) and then join the group at dinnertime or also on the occasion of the excursions.

Program: Cooking class with overnight stay at the Villa

1st Day (Sunday): Arriving & Welcoming Dinner
Arrival at the Villa. Time to mingle with the other guests and welcome dinner offered by the family. Overnight stay.

2nd Day: 1st Cooking Lesson
Wine tasting courseGet ready! Today we're going to start using techniques and recipes handed down through generations of local women. Lunch at the villa, with d.o.c. wine.

In the afternoon, if you wish you can meet our Sommelier Mario Piccinin for a wine & cheese tasting course. There will be a focus on the nearby regions of the Euganean Hills (Colli Euganei), Valdobbiadene-Conegliano to prepare you for your upcoming excursions. This wine & cheese tasting covers four wines, and four d.o.p. Italian Cheeses. You will study each wine in depth as you discuss the names, colours, aromas, tastes, food pairings, serving temperatures, best ages, alcohol levels and geographical areas. Dinner at the villa.

3rd Day: 2nd Cooking Lesson
Dominio di Bagnoli wineryHands-on cooking lesson during which you will learn how to make and cook another complete traditional Italian menu, from appetizers to dessert. Lunch at the villa.

After lunch you can choose a wine tasting at the historical winery Il Dominio di Bagnoli where you'll taste the famous Friularo (red dry wine) in the cellars of the 14th century. Will be back at 6.30 pm. Transfer included. Dinner at the villa.

4th Day: 3rd Cooking Lesson
Vineyard wxcursion to Colli Euganei
Third hands-on cooking lesson. At the end, we sit down and enjoy the meal together.

In the afternoon you have the possibility to visit a Salami production farm or a Buffalo Cheese farm near Ferrara, where we will have an unforgettable tasting together with the farmers and your guide. If you prefer, you can choose a guided visit with wine tasting to a beautiful wine cellar on the Euganean Hills. Dinner at the villa.


5th Day: Fish Market tour & Seafood Cooking demonstration
We go to Chioggia today, the "little Venice". First, we will visit the Mercato Centrale, the famous fish market, and then take time also for sightseeing and shopping. Cooking lesson with focus on Seafood and lunch today will be at one of Chioggia's oldest and best trattorias. Return to Tenuta Castel Venezze after lunch, and free time. Dinner at the villa.



6th Day: Full-day on the Prosecco Region or Euganean Hills, with Wine Tastings.
Today you can choose between two different options and programs. We leave from Tenuta Castel Venezze at 9.30 am, for driving towards the Prosecco Region, or to the Euganean Hills near Padua. Visit to a Cellar in the morning, where you will visit the vineyards, and have an unforgettable tasting. Lunch in a typical trattoria on the hills. In the afternoon, we will drive through the lovely hilly countryside to arrive to another cellar. Our visit will include cellar visit and wine tasting. Your personal guide for the day is our certified Sommelier. Return to Tenuta Castel Venezze in the late afternoon and dinner at the villa.


7th Day (Saturday): Checking out
