Chioggia Cookery Lesson

WineryVineyard tour This day we visit the fish market in Chioggia and we can have also a cooking lesson at a well known restaurant, with focus on seafood.

Chioggia is the second biggest city in the lagoon of Venice, to the south of "La Serenissima" and near the river Brenta. It's called "the little sister" of Venice.

Chioggia has even its own "Canal Grande": the Canal Grande della Vena. Everything reminds on of Venice - the buildings, the lovely bridges...and the fish market.

The Fish Market definitively worths a visit. It is located between Corso del Popolo and Canal Vena, and offers a rich variety of fish from the sea and the lagoon: bibarasse (clams) and caparossoli (carpet shell clams), sievali (gray mullet) and bisati (eels) and many others.

 

 

Scheduled time

  • 9.30 a.m. Departure from Venice or Tenuta Castel Venezze.
  • 10.30 a.m. Arrival in Chioggia and visit at the local fish-market.
  • 12,00 Lunch in a typical restaurant and hands-on cooking lesson learning from the chef how to make some typical local recipes.
  • 02.30 p.m. Brief Walk along the canals of the “little Venice”
  • 04.00 p.m. Transfer to Venice or Tenuta Castel Venezze.

This excursion is included in the price of the 6-Day Coulinary Experience.
