WineryVineyard tourBefore booking your course or during at your arrival at Tenuta Castel Venezze, you can ask for this wine tasting tour as extra program, so that you will have the chance to know the Euganean Hills, one of the most famous italian wine areas. Nature infact has created a favorable habitat for vines on these hills, with volcanic soil in origin. Vineyards are documented in the Roman times.

The grapes are primarily Tocai, Merlot and Cabernet, but there are also more specific varieties. Outstanding is the presence of Moscato, both Giallo (yellow) and Bianco (white), denominated in the Fior d'Arancio zone.

Fior d'Arancio is a sparkling wine with light yellow color, with golden glares, with a persistent scent, intense and typical of the grape, which remembers citric scents; its taste is sweet and balanced. It can be found in the version of "Sparkling wine" or "Raisin wine".

During your excursion, you'll travel through the scenic back roads to the wine country. You'll visit a selected winery, chosen with you in mind. Along the way, our knowledgeable guide will share compelling wine info, and introduce you to winemakers.

 

Scheduled time

  • 09.30 a.m. Departure from Venice or from Tenuta Castel Venezze.
  • 11.00 a.m. Arrival at the first winery Vignalta and visit the cellar and wine tasting.
  • 01.00 p.m. Light lunch at the local restaurant.
  • 02.30 p.m. Driving along the hills where you can see the different type of vineyard.
  • 3.45 p.m. Arrival at the winery Cà Lustra visit the cellar with our guide.
  • 4.30 p.m. Wine tasting in the cellar.
  • 5.30 p.m. We go back to Tenuta Castel Venezze or to your hotel in Venice
It is also possible to ask for a HALF-DAY visit.
